I wouldn't call a Photoshop edited picture something to critic when it comes to game-play stuff, sure it looks nice. But I can't give it any credit to your FCM.

In the first picture, the ceiling it made entirely of stone, EXCEPT from the place where there is a whole in the ceiling... That just looks like you only had one "Hole-object" do deal with (Which you also have).
How about making the surrounding ceiling into wooden planks too?
There is a very dark corner of the room. If this was real life i don't think it would be that dark. It would be darker, yes, but not pitch black.
You should work a little with the billboards here.
Right now, they are you just downwards. We need some angle on them.
And if you still have the smoke, then turn it gray. Not yellow-green. That just looks like something poisonous.

The second billboard looks like it's just a single one, and it's too close to the ground.
I cannot see the whole room, but those 3 opbjects (Table, barrel, shelf) looks a little crowded.
You could spread them out.

You turn off hints by pressing Escape ingame and selecting Options. Uncheck the little button with Hints.

Trying is the first step to success.

Could probs have gotten a better image but yolo.

There should be dust particles or fog at the billboard. The mushroom's green color is too bright.

Try increasing the alpha? If they're visible in-game, it's probably okay to leave unless this is going to be your promo screen-shot.
(I can't see them at all either :\)

Do what you do best Big Grin
Spoiler below!

The billboards/lights closest to the camera/player are from a hole in the ceiling; unfortunately, I couldn't capture everything I wanted to in the same image. I'll try to take better screen shot when I'm not typing up bio notes.

I know, I know it looks like TDD's Back Hall right now. I'm trying to fix this ASAP (especially the whole stair part). So ignoring this glaring mistake of mine, as it has already been pointed out and acknowledged, what should I be doing with the map?

EDIT: Here's a shot from the other side of the room
Spoiler below!

For the first picture, I would edit the floor so it's a hole and sunken in (You would have to chop the floor pieces into a bunch of them to open up a hole.)

It seems rather empty aside from pillars. consider adding some wooden beams across the ceiling or something of that nature. Carpets, tables, bookshelves, suits of armor, banners on the walls, stuff of that nature could be added coherently as well - the sky's the limit.

Also, there should be a lot more dirt on the ground considering the way its piled with plants growing out of the ground in a few places.

nice looking billboards btw

I rate it 3 memes.

RE: Screenshot criticism thread

A note about your billboards- the light filters in at different angles, which sunlight can't do. The hole in the back of the room looks to be a slightly different angle than the light streaming in from the window.
