Well it's not meant for humans to walk around in it, so making it brighter would be stupid, besides it looks almost to bright to me.

Anyways I appreciate the feedback.

Could, you, please waste a bit of time and make screens of the whole room? I really like it what I see. But at the same time I might critisize some elements, but I can't be sure until I'll see whole room. Just 4 screens from every corner to understand what stands where.
The thing is I'm not done with the room. That's only half of it. I'll finish it if I have more time.
Well right then what is that barrel doing near the table? That's the worst thing out of place. As for other critics... What are those wooden boxes doing on the shelf, same shelf where the books are? And finally what is that big pile of wooden planks doing in such a room that looks like a private cabinet? But... I've not seen the whole room, maybe it's under reconstruction, I don't know.

All right, you wanted my opinion, do here goes. The first thing I see is a positive: I really like that you made the walls wooden planks, and the 45 degree support beams give it a nice sense of reality (considering the gap above, the wall really would need that extra support). Even more interesting is what appears to be metal pipes passing through a partition in the wall. If there truly is a gap at the top of the wall for the pipes to pass through, then this is brilliant. It gives the rooms a sense of continuity not present in standard full-length walls. The thing you might want to pay attention to is what purpose that wall serves.

Your general architecture and use of welders and planes is great. You nailed that right on. The only thing I see really wrong is the billboards that pass through the wooden beams. What I do if I run into a situation like that is, if I like that angle, to greatly shorten a billboard so that it actually ends just before it meets the obstacle, and that way it doesn't obviously clip into an object, the billboards actually shape themselves realistically around that object. You gotta shape your billboards, you can't just place them into objects and say "that's how the light falls" (not saying you are, that's just a tip for future folks) Smile

I'm trying to make a room that's based on the attic of a mansion. And about the barrel, maybe I should get rid of the barrel since it's an attic room. Not a cellar based room. The shelf that has wooden boxes and books, I got that idea from one of the rooms in the "Archive" map. I don't really mind about the big pile of wooden planks, I have no idea why I put that thing in the first place. I might remove it while reconstruction.

Thanks for the feedbackSmile Really appreciate it. It took me 8 hours to make half of the room. The billboards is truly the pain of all the construction. I didn't realize the billboard passing through the wooden beams at first. But after I realized it, I was too tired to fix it(after making level for 8 hours in one sitting and my parents yelling at me to stop). So yeah, I knew the billboard is going to get the "attention" and I'll try to shorten it when I'm editing the level.

Well, I'm not a master, but I think the right part of the screenie is quite dark, with a window being there.
Also, the lamp colors and the window don't blend very well in my opinion, so yeah, that's pretty much what I can say.

You need to make the walls more interesting; mirrors, banners, decals, etc etc

I rate it 3 memes.
