Map Editor Help (Missing textures)

All of a sudden, all my texture went missing in the map editor (not the map itself), and this is really bugging me out right now. I can still highlight them (that means, the objects are still there) if i click on them, but i just can't see shit as it should be.

Also, i have tried reloading several times, even restarted my computer, to no effect.

Anyone helping me will get a virtual cookie, i promised some friends to give them a demo version so they can test it out...but it's not finished yet. And this bug (or whatever it is) doesn't help me that much :/

RE: Map Editor Help (Missing textures)

Check the following things:

-Check if your level editor is running as administrator and in the redist(or main amnesia folder(the one with amnesia.exe and some other dll files and includes the subdirectories as maps, static_objects)) folder of Amnesia.

-Go to the folder described before and post here the content of your resources.cfg file.

-Click one of your objects and check if there is any mesh attached to it.

-Check if you can place new objects.

-Check your static_objects and entities folder for missing objects/entities.

Report back.

RE: Map Editor Help (Missing textures)

Im pretty sure it runs as an administrator (only user on the computer), unless i have some trojan or something on my computer?

resources.cfg:

<Resources>
     <Directory Path="/_temp" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/fonts" AddSubDirs="false" />
     <Directory Path="/maps" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/textures" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/models" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/gui" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/static_objects" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/sounds" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/main_menu" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/shaders" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/lights" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/billboards" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/entities" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/graphics" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/viewer" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/particles" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/models" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/music" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/flashbacks" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/textures" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/misc" AddSubDirs="true" />
     <Directory Path="/commentary" AddSubDirs="true" />
</Resources>

Mesh are attached, atleast to the one invisible object i clicked on (a wall that was visible before)

I can place new objects, but they are invisible.

No content missing, asfar as i checked.

Well, it might or might not be running as administrator. To make sure go into your LevelEditor.exe file, right click it, select properties, goto the compatibility tab and check the box that says Run as Administrator.(Using 7 or Vista).

Could you post a log of your LevelEditor?

RE: Map Editor Help (Missing textures)

Have you tried to press Ctrl+F and select objects that should be showing up and then look at the objects property window and see if the mesh field is blank?

If you are using XP, you're running as administrator most likely.

You should try to redownload the tools from here: http://wiki.frictionalgames.com/hpl2/tools/start

Replace your old ones.

Redownloaded, didn't do anything great.

The mesh field is not empty either.
