Vista 'Escape' problem

Hi everyone. I've a weird problem here, i hope we can find a solution about it. In both demo and full game, when i try to go back to main menu when im playing, the game crushes. I've latest drivers for my both graphic card and audio. Also 1.01 patch applied. My system is:
Microsoft Vista (Updated)
2.4 p4 processor
1Gb ram
Ati 1600pro 256Mb
