It was posted after the one that was linked to a few pages ago.
Either way, I think FG is keeping a close eye on the development. In my opinion, we shouldn't worry about it being a "walking simulator" at all!
The only thing that worries me is that they changed the gameplay. Then again, I've never liked it when things I love change, while it works out well at times. Yeah, someone already beat ya too it haha Great article. I'm still not convinced on "A Machine For Pigs". Just seem to kill the scariness of the title Haha damn. Yeah i'm not convinced as well but it will probably make sense when we play it... i think

"This world is a machine fit only for pigs. Fit for the slaughtering of pigs."
I love that line, the name is definitely growing on me.

You said it like Dear Esther was a bad game. If you judge Dear Esther as a game, it's REALLY bad. If you judge Dear Esther as an narrative story experience, it's fantastic.
But at the same time, frictional games managed to tell an narrative story without having the game be just about holding down the W key.
I wonder what engine is the machine for pigs going to use ( good god, that title is bad... ), HPL3 ?

They are using HPL 2.
Quote:Development duties are in the hands of thechineseroom, with Pinchbeck returning to work with members of the squad that crafted Dear Esther, using Frictional's HPL Engine 2.

HPL3 is probably for the other unannounced project, i'm guessing an engine takes a looong time to develop...
