I'm guessing that this "Machine" is sentient on some level. It was originally built to slaughter pigs, but then started slaughtering humans for some reason.

I've said it before, but I think it's a bit more metaphorical. Not saying the machine isn't a literal machine, but that there's more to it. Just my 2 cents.

I think the factory was originally slaughtering pigs, but as the time went, they started to get mad and captured humans and has now started to slaughtering them. Thats what happened during the time Oswald was sick or whatever reason it now was that he was unknown about it xD
At least thats what I think

Very interesting, thank you for all the information Sam.
Do you know if Amnesia TDD was also mixed in stereo? That is actually the way I played it since I do not have a good soundcard.
I look forward to hear your work on the game!

Just my 2 cents. Completely agree, in my opinion I think that there will actually be a machine and it will actually be used to kill pigs, but the actual phrase "This world is a machine. A machine fit only for the slaguhtering of pigs." is more symbolic. The way I think of it, the phrase isn't really too connected with the actual machine, but they used the machine as a metaphor to relate to the theme of the game while still having it kind of related to the main focus of the game (being the machine). Hope that made some sense XD

I'm guessing this game will have some sort of religious aspect to it. About some insane man with a distorted world view who kills sinners and gluttons that he believes to be pigs.
Is that an altar I see?
