Dishonored is a fun action game. Better graphics and effects, but I think the most important thing in a game is not the cinematic superhero gameplay. Rather it is the immersion and atmosphere, emotional feelings and story. So when you prefer a decent gameplay in an experience of fear and terror, you should wait for AMFP. Definitely.
AMFP will not be a fun game, it's not even a "game". You will just be immersed in a wonderful melancholic and disturbing world of horror. It's not the violence like in Dishonored, AMFP will be a "true" horror game. You are not the superhero who kills people and see how the blood is splattering around. You will be a defenseless "normal" person like YOU are and wake up in a world of nightmare.

AMFP really will be the better choice, because it is not made for fast money mainstream gamers. It's more for a special niche of decent people who understand the true meaning of a game.

Dishonored will have more fun, but AMFP will have more fear. I hope.

Al those devs have tested it a few months ago already so I'm hoping that they are bugfixing and improving the little things and they'll release on Halloween.

Also, in a tweet on 3rd October, Dan Pinchbeck tweeted:

"Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs update: appx two thirds of the levels are finished. Currently working on exterior levels and a giant abattoir"

Well we are about to find that out in about four days from now.

But I think this is unlikely because if it was so then AMFP would be available for pre-order several weeks ago.
