I can't wait to play Big Grin

Thank you.
No, they never said it would be released in January. But maybe it's going to be released in Early 2013.

Jessica Curry stated in some interview that release will be in January, but that was a long time ago.

Let's just wait and see.
I hope for a January release but on the other hand it would have to be in the next 3 days as I have exam training and exams in the coming month.
Feb would be fine.(for me that is)

Finally, I hope it'll come out in longer, so I can have enough time to work on HPL2 level editor Big Grin

Yea i know what interview your talking about. I don't know why she said that. Probably the whole team knew it was coming out in January or that was the plan. So she might have let that information slip. I don't know i'm just speculating. But i doubt it will release in January. Things change and they might need more time to make the game. Which is never a bad thing. There are some company's that just release the game as fast as they can to get there money.
Here's what Jens from Frictional Games said in a post here in forums:
I'm sorry but there has never been any plans for a january release, we have been aiming for an early 2013 release with the intention of it is done when it is done.

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion

I think, they already could release the game, but they really don't want to disappoint us. They wants to make a true high-level game and meet all our expectations. It would be a huge failure to release it now when they could make the game even better. The first impression will spread around and they never could make it better with patches, so they want to release an "already patched" game directly.

And there's Frictional Games, who determine the release date. When they play the actual build and find things to improve, they will instruct thechineseroom to work longer on the game.

When Frictional Games think the game is ready, they will release it, not when thechineseroom wants.

I also think, they know that the quality of a game comes first and that's no shame to work a half year longer on the game, when it's just for the good of the game. It's wrong to release it too early, that could ruin all the impact the game could have. All the work would be for nothing just because they couldn't wait a little time longer.

And we all want a good game, so let the devs work as long as they need. They also shouldn't hurry up, better to work slower, but more professional. Frictional Games also doesn't need the money "now", they have enough money that the release can wait.

Better to wait longer and get a fantastic masterpiece, instead of release it now and the experience is only the half what it could be.Cool

How do you know? Are you their accountant? For all we know they could be facing bankruptcy.

Now that's a truly terrifying thought. They should have that be a twist ending.
