They shouldn't make the graphics lower because of the performance. They still should let the max settings as they are and make optional low quality settings for slower computers. But People with a GTX 680 should enjoy the game in full glance!

spaceman Wrote:[...]or that PC specs were too high for it now xD For a long time, that was indeed the case. The old version of the game was almost impossible to get to work on Windows XP and Windows 7, especially on multi-core PCs. You had to use community patches and all sorts of tricks (like quickly firing up Task Manager after starting the game and assigning only one core to the process) and even then it would crash every few minutes for most people. The GoG versions of games are remastered versions to ensure that they work on newer PCs. | |

I am kinda of wondering about the PC specs as well. I play Amnesia right now on 1600x900 on medium. Will I have to play on low just to play Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs?

			| RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs in 3D ?

I'd be very surprised if it was. You never know of course...but I think they'd have to make some big changes to the engine to allow for stereoscopic rendering and I doubt they have time and ressources for that. The target group is probably still too small to make such fanciness worthwhile to small developers, especially when they're working with their own engine instead of a licensed one (Big engines like Cryengine or Unreal may give developers the option to easily implement stereoscopic 3D, but for hpl they'd have to code it entirely on their own) | |

Probably. But what's the big deal? If "low" in AMFP is the same performance-wise as "medium" in TDD, those two settings will most likely look pretty much the same in terms of polycount, texture and shadow quality, etc... | |

I just thought of something...If the inventory is being "removed" from AMFP to make it more immersive, scarier, and difficult, the important items in TDD had a slight blue glow to them to make them easier to find in the dark...
Do you guys think that's gonna be removed as well for a more challenging and nerve-racking experience?
