I think the Story is about the satanic secrets of the fine English victorian "High Society" and their macabre ritualistic cults including human sacrifices and cannibalism.
And grotesque experiments with humans and pigs - perhaps for a mutant fusion of them.

Found this really interesting and a bit difficult to understand. If the word allowing might just be a substitute for forcing then that sounds pretty damn evil, I'm probably just misinterpreting it in the first place.

And Mandus having multiple kids explains both the boyish looking kid and the little girls' voice in the second trailer.

It looks like a town with multiple citizens hope he didn't turn "the whole of london" into monsters that would be a challenge.
