Penumbra Collection "Preparing to launch crash" on steam.

Hello,

I have the "preparing to launch crash" problem with your games on steam.

OS: Windows 7 x64
Alienware m14x - Intel i7, GT555m 3GB and 6gb RAM

I have updated Graphics drivers
I have downloaded and installed the latest OpenAL
I have updated everything in windows updater

Isn't that a Steam problem? If it crashes during preparing to launch then the game has not even started to launch as far as I know, so perhaps check Steam for best support. Maybe it is a permission problem or something similar, so try to launch the game directly as an admin or run a file integrity check on the game in Steam to make sure all files are as they should.

I feel stupid asking this but you learn by asking - is the part I put in bold your graphics card?...

I don't know if you've figured this out already, but try running oalinst.exe located in Steam/Steamapps/common/penumbra. Make sure you restart Steam, as well.

Also verify integrity of steam cache by right clicking on the game in steam > properties > local files > Verify local cache.
