vertex shaders

just bought this game.. looks cool.. When I try to run it says I do not vertex shaders on my video card.. I have a ATI Radeon x1300 which is on the supported list..windows vista..home premium. I have uploaded the patch for Penumbra and the latest drivers for the video card.. I have gone all through the preferences for the card and cant find anywhere to enable/disable vertex shaders... anyone have an idea?

You must update your graphics card drivers and all will work.

I have downloaded the latest drivers from ATI at least 3 times with no better luck.....

do not forget to uninstall your previous drivers before installing the new ones.

thanks.. it was strange... when I went into device manager to look at the video card , windows still had the 2006 driver there...even though I had installed the new drivers 3 times...windows is evil....ha ha
well anyway the game works now.. I havent played it much due to it being a really nice day where I am...

i'm haveing the same promble with the game all my drivers r up to date and my computer has double the min requirments my video card is a nvid fx 5500
can any one help with the little problem

Download the latest from the Nvidia site and then uninstall your graphics card drivers u have now and then install the latest.

Sometimes, for various strange and mysterious reasons, drivers do not get updated properly if you install them on a older version.

Thanks for the help but in my case it was not my drivers it was my video card it self was flaky i had to replace card
game work good now
