Bug  Advanced Monster script?

Hi
In my custom story I want to script a grunt which followes path nodes. But if the Player looks at the monster for 5 seconds the path nodes should be cleared and the monster followes the player. But if the player looks away in time nothing should happen. How to script this? Huh
