Is there a way to play the game in Windowed mode instead of the default Full Screen mode? Thanks in advance for the reply!

Yes,
edit the settings.cfg file in your home directory under
Library/Preferences/Frictional Games/Penumbra Overture/Episode 1

and change the FullScreen="true" to FullScreen="false" toward the bottom of the file in the <Screen /> section. You can also change the screen resolution from this section as well.

Note, that while in windowed mode, the mouse is NOT grabbed while in the menues, so you can leave the game window while in windows mode, but ONLY while in a menu. And the game cursor and real mouse cursor don't quite line up at the moment. I hope to fix that in a future release.
