Graphics/Background not showing?

I have been trying to play Amnesia on my laptop, but whenever I go to play, everything past the "Profile" has a black background/no graphics. (I'll attach screenshots)
I downloaded the game on our much older desktop, and the game runs fine (aside from the slowness due to the amount of other games on the system).
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the game completely from my laptop several times, but that doesn't seem to fix the problem. Anyone know how this problem could be fixed?

You have an unsupported graphics chip, but you can make it work by updating the drivers see
