It is only required in order to generate mipmaps for DDS format. You may get errors or warnings about it in the hpl.log, but the game will still load the texture (though without mipmaps).

If everything in the game works without any crashes or glitches then they are GOOD .
They do function properly.......

Textures without mipmaps look strange, I suggest making them .dds

Just an UPDATE that there is a IN GAME screenshoot with Parallex Mapping in use to show people that there are NO problems at all .
Also a small tut on how to make them work.....
Just paste the scare materials folder in your static_objects folder.....
And if your textures are invisible when you use them , then thats because you havent put it in the Static_objects folder (for those who didnt get them to work)
Parallex mapping is in Beta and i dont know how to make it work correctly yet
(I am looking over Original FG textures and trying to find out how Parallex mapping works so good on rocky textures Sad thats all )
