Level editor sdl.dll problem

Been trying to install the level editor for Amnesia. I have the steam version, so I followed the directions on the wiki to place them in the correct folder, C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\amnesia the dark descent\. Once placed there, I got the "sdl.dll missing" error. I've searched everything there is about the error and I can't seem to find a fix in my situation. I've tried putting the files in different locations, reinstalling them. I downloaded a program that supposedly would fix my sdl.dll problem, but after scanning, I had to pay for it to fix it.

Does anyone know what my issue is?

these files must be put at the same folder with the .exe Amnesia executable

By .exe you mean the actual game itself right? I have it on steam, so I can't find any .exe, since I assume the .exe is what you click to play Amnesia on Steam in the Steam Library.

Putting it simply, I don't really know how to do that.

Normally you will find your amnesia/steam installation at.

C:/ProgramFiles/Steam/SteamApps/Common/AmnesiaTheDarkDescent

This is where the tools should be installed to aswell.

It turns out the problem was that I was putting the files in the ProgramFiles folder, instead of the ProgramFiles(x86) folder. Got it working now.
