It's call of duty, they take everything mainstream and put it into a package, it's what the fans want so it's what they get. Nothing strange about this.
"What do we got?"
"It looks like Mr.Black was dug up, covered in cheap glitter, and then corpse-rapped."
"Then I guess he's, , shit."
"Well obviously-" YEAAAAAAAAHH!!
In all fairness, it looks like a pretty good next installment if you consider the latest releases. As much as they add to your HUD, viewmodel, what have you, it will always look the same to me.
Insanity. Static.

I didn't understand if MW3 was a new game, or just a shitty expansion.
As much as I know COD for their repetitiveness, Black Ops 1 was actually surprisingly interesting for me, something that I never thought to expect from a Call of Duty game. That's why I'm going to give Black Ops 2 the benefit of doubt to see if it can deliver.
then we can get back to making PROPER FPS games instead of 10-million COD Clones per month..
(note, please remember, "cod clone" is a gameplay style IMO, not an art style or "warzone" setting)
i have always hated the gameplay (mainly because of 3 elements that trigger autistic episodes in my brain leaving me unable to cope with, and thus, actually play! the game), and i always will, heres hoping the sci fi theme makes the game bomb, its had some pretty poor reactions due to the sci fi content, and modern warfare expansion pack 2 (aka MW3) pretty much bombed by the franchises usual sales levels, (2 million plays 20) so, hopefully, perhaps it is finally dying.
When the games idustry learns the "modern shooter" is no longer viable, hopefully they will return to the "classic" or "Psuedo modern" era, as predicted by "total biscuit", "total halibut", "yahtzee", Pachter, et all.

I really hate this kind of futuristic setting. I prefer the WW2/Vietnam War theme of "face-to-face with the enemies" rather than the modern warfare with all the electronic stuff. The only one I like in fact of futuristic setting is the Halo series. But that's it.
