I totally agree with you! The soundtracks are amazing. Maybe not when you just listen to them, but when you play the game, and immerse yourself into the game. She must've had it horrifying.
I really like the main theme, and learned to play it on the piano too. What is so special about this tune is that you start the game for the first time, and hear this xylophones, or metalophones, and think: "Huh, a simple tune... That's sweet". Later on, you might end up dying once in a while, and you end up at the titlescreen where this music is playing, and you remember it from last time you died, or from when you just started it, and you think: "Oh yea, the little music piece..."
At last, you finish the game and you sit back, breathing, while the ending cutscene goes. And then... Fade out... ... ... To the titlescreen where the main music plays. And I just sat there and heard the music that i had started with... This music followed you through the whole game, and now you're saying goodbye to it, as you have finished the game... Fantastic...
Off-Topic:
I'm thinking about making Ib into a 3D game, in the Amnesia-engine... Just for fun. I think it could be really cool! I'm just a little worried about the NPCs...
Trying is the first step to success.

Using googolplex as an example is not acceptable; He's not negotiable anyway.
What are you trying to say?
At least I posted a decent song.
OK! Make a new thread called 'My favorite song' if you so want! I don't care, just don't derail this thread.
LOL, If I want I will post every damn song that I like on this thread, but I won't because it would take a long time.
Dude, what's the problem? While a few off-topic posts are not a big deal he has a very valid point. At the very least there is no reason to be so hostile.
It's pretty hard to define a "saddest" video game song imo. Aside from the normal ambiguity of music, it can be interpreted either from the song alone, or rather how I see it, how well it fits the context of the game its coming from.
