You gave the wrong file. HPL.log is the file. If you don't attach it, then I can't help you.

If you do not have an Amnesia folder in My Documents, something is very wrong here and either you are not looking in the right spot or the software is possibly pirated. I find it very strange that you got the game off of steam and it does not create that folder... If you can't find that folder and the hpl.log inside, we can't help you any further.

Yep, that's exactly what I said. Upon starting Amnesia weather or not you get errors or a crash you're gonna get an HPL.log

If you don't provide that, this thread will be closed

It shoudln't be possible for steam NOT to create the specific folder as it will always inform you if the game is installed and where, otherwise as Statyk said, the game is pirated.

Your way of explaining your problem also sounds incredibely suspicious.

thanks for the help i got amnesia working the reason it wouldn't work was because i documents folder was locked.
