The (not BL but) Anime Thread

To clear confusion here I'mma drop some KNOWLEDGE BOMBS on you kids (that can be aquired by going to fucking Wikipedia). So you can think of the whole Monogatari franchise in three parts - First, Second, and Third Season - and from there on they are divided into separate stories. (Monogatari Series is based off of a series of light novels by the way).

Monogatari 'First Season' consists of (in chronological order):

Kizumonogatari [movie] (not yet out, blame SHAFT)
Nekomonogatari [OVA] (4 parts)
Bakemonogatari [TVA] (which is a compilation of a lot of other stories for example Hitagi Crab or Suruga Monkey)
Nisemonogatari [TVA]

Monogatari 'Second Season' consists of:

Nekomonogatari (Shiro) - Tsubasa Tiger arc
Kabukimonogatari - Mayoi Jiangshi arc
Hanamonogatari - Suruga Devil [separate, upcoming OVA]
Otorimonogatari - Nadeko Medusa arc
Onimonogatari - Shinobu Time arc
Koimonogatari - Hitagi End arc

Listed above in bold are what make up the TVA known as 'Monogatari Series: Second Season'

Monogatari 'Third Season' consists of... well go look it up yourself.

TL;DR (image is a bit old by the way) there are 3 TVAs, 1 OVA, 1 upcoming movie, and 1 upcoming OVA under the Monogatari franchise name. Traggey is 'right' in there being three seasons but what Red is asking is totally different (and yes, Red, they more than likely will finish off the Monogatari franchise; I agree that is is a fantastic anime).
