Crashes on loading screens.

Hi. I'm running Windows 8 64 bit on my Samsung R710 laptop (NVIDIA 9600M GT graphics, C2D CPU), and I'm experiencing crashes on loading screens whenever I hit a key or a mouse button. When that happens, Amnesia stops responding and I have to put it out of its misery with a task manager. Otherwise the game runs great, so it's no dealbreaker, given the game is just sooo damn awesome, but any help would be appreciated.
