Yes I read that but I was responding to the fact that you said in LITERALLY THE OTHER HALF OF THAT SENTENCE "but to go out and say it scars them for life is pretty pathetic". No, it just means their brain interprets shock a different way than yours. The only reason I brought up suicide was cause it's another example of people using that mindset of "well my brain works this way so it's pathetic that not everyone else's works the same way", stop trying to look into it further. Yes, and if you actually read MY post you might have seen, again, I never accused you of saying it's unnatural to be shocked by that stuff, it may have come off that way but then I just worded it wrong. I was saying that it's dumb to think that someone is pathetic if they're affected by something like that, that includes both right when you see it and LONG TERM affects. Again, everyone's mind interprets things differently and just because someone is affected differently doesn't mean they're pathetic (note: both immediately and LONG TERM effects, that includes when they see it initially and how they're effected by it LONG TERM, I am not just talking about how they react to seeing it I am talking about how it might effect their mind LONG TERM... Am I getting my point accross this time?). You implied pretty directly that film gore and real gore are the same by using literally that exact example in one of your arguments by saying that people laugh at that sort of gore but whatever. And the only reason I brought up that story was I was trying to prove that I wasn't just doing this cause I felt like I had to defend myself, I actually just thought what you said was dumb and felt like calling you out on it.

The only reason people look at psychopaths and people with anorexia in a negative light is because the differences in their mind can actually have a negative impact on themselves or other people around them. You wouldn't call someone with a phobia pathetic cause they're scared by something that's generally considered normal, would you? No, because other than maybe making them uncomfortable in certain situations it really doesn't have that big of an impact on their life or anyone else's life, and the same goes for being scarred over something dumb like r/spacedicks or whatever. Sure that may have disturbed them for life but that does that really have that big of an impact on them? No, it really doesn't, so I don't see why you'd have to see it as some sort of deficiency or as them being pathetic. Now if they refused to use the internet or something silly like that because of it I could understand you saying it's being detrimental to them, but considering all the members that have brought up gore of some sort in this thread still use it pretty frequently I'd say it's safe to assume that it didn't really have too big of an impact on their life.
