problems instaling amnesia_tdd_1.2_update.sh

cant get it to work,

>cd /home/nik/Downloads/

>sh amnesia_tdd_1.2_update.sh

when choose path to amnesia and press next "Could not find existing install of Amnesia - The Dark Descent in /home/nik/Amnesia

the game is installed in ~/Downloads/112/Amnesia ?? the updater checks a
few files to make sure you have the full version of the game and not
the demo version. so odds are you are missing some essential files in
the installation.. did you clean any files out of the install directory
after installing?

ahh.. there are files that are different.. Where did you purchase the original install of the game? as I can see one file that was modified right off the bad.. super_secret.tar.gz is not the original filename..

its probably from one of updates I installed, after removing that file still cant update to 1.2, game works normally

There is no update that adds a super_secret.tar.gz, and no official installer that provides it.. So you must have modified the original file and re-packaged it.. as the updater is looking for the original filename of super_secret from the official Amnesia linux installer..

This someone leads me to believe you don't have a purchased copy of the game, as you should be able to use your original installer.
