Good move on this, now can we just talk about AAMFP and AAMFP only on this, not yugioh or Metro 2033 or wherever the topics trailed off to last time
Oh, and no talking about the release date until new news is released, any newcomers who come in asking for it, just tell them Q2 and leave it at that

I do believe they talked about there being NPCs in some interview, but I dont remember which, might be one of those on the list on frontpage so you can take a look yourself if ya want.

NPCs would be pretty cool in the game, but the question is: will that ruin the immersion? Like the feeling of being alone in a place unknown to you? Unless the NPC will be in a static postion like Agrippa in ATDD.

I hope there is a main menu option to save the game like in TDD.
Of course, just to have rare save points would mean death consequences and should make the game a bit scarier. But I think that would just ruin the experience and frustrating the player.
I also hope there are good puzzles without to have an inventory.
When we will see a packshot cover and is AMFP planned to be released as a retail box in w. europe?

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Part 2
I Think AAMFP will start with a nightmare just before Mandus fully regains consciousness kinda like he wakes up in his bed and regains consciousness, just as he can stand up. an engine splutters, coughs, roars into life. as he makes his way to the source of the engine sound. a loud monstrous roar, he runs to the cellar and closes the door behind him. he hides under the stairs as something smashes the door down, as the creature enters... Oswald finally wakes up from a hellish nightmare
thats how i think its going to start.

Depends. In Dear ester,in second chapter, you see a man walking in a cave.To be honest that gave me chills!I have a feeling that we will se that stuff a lot in AAMFP.

Unless the NPC will be in a static postion like Agrippa in ATDD. I think it might be a good way to create contrast between areas, having to go away from the nice area with the kind NPC guy so that you can proceed. kinda like the backhall and the storage in amnesia but taking it a step further by adding an NPC to that safe area.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This also made me think of a completely different question:
How will the level order in AAMFP be compared to TDD?
will it just be linear or will they take the hub level way of doing things like in amnesia, or perhaps something entirely else?
