This is because they have their heads down, doing the very long, very intense, very hard and frankly, pretty boring task of hunting down and finding every potential little bug or thing that could be optimised in the game and as someone pointed out, there aren't very many of them doing it. So give them a break please.

Jens and I talk regularly, and the development reports when we check in, or I check SVN are things like "found a collision error in wall 16 in level 5, fixed" or "moved pathnode in area x in level y to give better cornering for AI" or "reduced x sound file by y amount to aid framerate reduction in area a" and so on. It's difficult stuff, because it's a hunt for small important things, not obvious stuff, a lot of code work, and a lot of coming in and out of the game. You need to put your head down and focus and concentrate and there's really nothing interesting to report apart from "still working hard, lots of little things, nothing exciting, we will let you know when we are done".

So cut them some slack, yeah? They're not ignoring you. There just isn't anything interesting to report.

Ok. It's just that we knew nothing and now we do know why FG and you guys keep silent.

Guys, as we say here in my town, "Relaja la raja"... chill the fuck out, the game will come, if they had anything interesting to say, I´m pretty sure they would say it. And as they're saying, I understand that you're excited and want to play the game ASAP, I want it too. But I think it's better waiting some time and have a more "perfect" game than an earlier game not so "perfect"...
So stay cool, relax, go do something productive in your life (work, study, learn to play an instrument or something)...
¡RELAJAD LA RAJA!

Thank you, that's great! Even though that stuff maybe boring to you guys it isn't really boring to me and maybe some other people, I personally find it interesting and it's always nice to read something like this. But we literally have no idea what's going on and that raises curiosity, I didn't know they were still bug testing, even if an update was as quick and to the point as what you've just posted that would be enough to please me. Just to know that there's something happening, as I stated before I have no doubt that they are working hard on the game, the silence is just a little disappointing when you're working all week and you have some free time to see if there's anything new about a game you can't wait to get your hands on and there's nothing, so thank you for posting something.

This is the update I was waiting for a long time. I did not want to know more. :]

Thanks for the update Dan. It's appreciated.

Now if only we had such an update once a week we wouldn't have been moaning ......... 'communication' is the key word here.

Do you really need such updates every single week? Jeez... just let them finish their job. Now when we know what they're doing with AAMFP right now and for the next weeks/months or years, I really hope you guys are pleased and won't moan until the game is released.

This is plenty interesting, cheers Dan. No specifics were needed, just a general sort of "this is what's going on now" statement is what we craved and you just gave it to us, so cheers for that! Heart

So very generous of you to take a moment and let us know these interesting little details, and for putting up with us.

I am very much looking forward to AAMFP.

Thank you Smile

First and foremost, thank you, Dan, we appreciate your update and your time.

Second, MAINLY, thank you those of you who provoked this, Dan was clearly annoyed writing this because (not naming names) some of you guys can't keep your mouths shut and quietly wait like the rest of us.

Apparently, the developers, at least TCR look at this forum and can see when we're whining and begging when FG is hard working to please us. We shouldn't use this to our advantage and annoy them to get an answer out of them like this, we need to sit quietly and just discuss minor subjects related to the game if you still need something like this to occupy your time instead of finding something else to do.

As Dan said, "cut them some slack."

I'm out until anything serious happens, this was too embarrassing.
