Solved: 8 Years, 9 Months ago Crashing issue with Amnesia

I got my copy of Amnesia during the summer sale this past week hoping to replay the main story. After i installed the game, i launched it and played it on high graphics settings for about 25 minutes before the game just froze up and crashed. I got the message "Amnesia.exe. has stopped working" Message and had to close the game. The weird thing is that I had previously played the game on my computer years ago and never had this problem. I tired playing on a lower graphics setting and got the same result as before. I've uninstalled abd reinstalled the game but nothing has helped. Any idea what could be wrong with the game or my computer?

Tried that out and everything went fine, but to update the situation, i turned on Vsync and for some reason it fixed the crashing issue. i played the game for about 30 min without a crash. It also fixed some of the screen tearing I've been having. Would've turning on the Vsync really fixed the crashing issue?

If turning vsync off again causes the game to crash, then, likely, yes. (related http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-3754.html Problem E)

I must've over looked that section, but thanks! That might've been the problem.
