Speaking with your wallet is fine. Stealing is not. Sounds like you're using this as an excuse to just download the game. And this is a big reason why there are so many anti-consumer practices in the game industry. (Which I'm not defending, either)

Frictional has spoken about how much good custom story support did for their game. So I'd believe there's a good reason why it's not in AAMFP. Likely due to difficulties that popped up in the overhauls done to the engine between these games. They could delay the game but then they'd get even more flack.

Who knows? Maybe they'll support it post-release. But going on their forum and openly saying you'd steal their game over something this petty can't be encouraging.

"The game doesn't support custom stories? A system that wouldn't make much of a difference considering the engine was NOT overhauled, so playing custom stories on ATDD would essentially be the same? Might as well steal the product!"

Glad to see morals and common sense are in order.

It's late, I spent like 5 minutes re-reading the thread trying to find that quote only to realize it's a paraphrase.

Actually the engine is overhauled a great deal, so uh.

Yeah, there you go.

RE: Steam workshop Support

I'm thinking maybe steam workshop support should wait till Frictional Games releases they're "super secret project" game as they might possibly add a custom story feature into that as well.
