Getting a custom enemy to attack (without anims)

Hey guys,

I serached the forums and found a few threads on the subject but no one found an answer. I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to make a custom enemy attack the player without the model being rigged or animated?

As far as I know, the enemy will only deal damage to the player if they have an animation. I don't want to have the model animated, is there any possible way to do this?

I've tried playing around with the user variables in the modEd with no luck and I've also put the model as a water_lurker type and that works but then the model is not drawn - Any ideas?

Thanks

How about an animation where it does nothing?

Trying is the first step to success.

Hmm might work. Is it possible to do that without having bones though?
