I run a desktop with 64-bit Windows 7, with a completely updated Nvidia GT 430 video card. I get the same black screen on startup, but all the threads for that so far are applicable to the Intel on board HD graphics, which I don't use, or ATI cards. I can start the launcher, and tried on lowest graphics settings with no success.

Also, it says my OPenGL version, is 4.3.0.

Attached help log file. Please let me know what other info is needed.

When does the black screen occur exactly? Have you tried a steam file integrity check? If you have any gamepad controllers unplug them before you start the game and try again (a temp bug which will be fixed shortly).

Itll blink a few times and then go black. with no intro screen or intro sound. Like its starting to load and doesn't make it.

Also, I tried it with avast disabled. That time it blinked a few times then immediately crashed with no black screen.

reran file integrity check with steam, came back good just now.

Avast is a known program that caused problems with Amnesia. It might do the same with the pigs.

Do you have any gamepads or controllers plugged-in your computer? If yes, unplug them and restart your computer without them. Try the game again afterwards.

Otherwise, some background program is interfering (like Avast).

Does a wireless keyboard/mouse count as a "gamepad"? I;m getting down to bare bones on background programs and not seeing any difference.

The test exe worked. Now ive got a glitch. IF i run the new exe, itll sit at a black screen. I thought it was the same problem, but if I hit esc, itll bring up the frictional logo and everything'll work past that point.

Not complaining, just bug report
