Stuttering, Small freezes and framerate Issues

Could some of you please check if the game stutters if you start a new game? Or if the stuttering only occurs after loading a save file?

I just started a new game and it makes no difference for me.

Most probably it's sound issues as mentioned above but from my experience stuttering and small freezes are also caused if you force any kind of vSync at the Nvidia Control Panel. So if someone has done that make sure it's set to Use the 3D application setting.

Could you check if this patch helps in any way? Unzip it in the game folder and run it and start a new game.

I ran the patch and created a new game with a new profile. I experience no stuttering in the places it would stutter before. I only played the first couple of minutes though. I then loaded the profile and continued the game from the beginning and the stutters are back. It seems the patch works on new games and only once. One would have to play the entire game in one sitting I should also mention my main_settings.cfg settings are
MaxChannels="32" StreamBuffers="4" StreamBufferSize="131072"

Can you try again but use the default main_settings? Play a new game like before first and then try load again.

What do you mean by "continued the game from the beginning"?

when you post a result of a test can you include the OS, CPU, Graphics and Memory specificaiton you have as well as what setting you use to test (use only low, med, high and do not modify them).

I created a new profile to test the patch, when it worked I exited the game without saving. When I ran the game again I chose the same profile and loaded the first save which is the beginning of the game with cut scenes and game title.

Game Settings: High

Ok I started a new game using the default main_settings.cfg and the stutters were there, I also loaded a game and it stuttered. I changed main_settings.cfg back to MaxChannels="32" StreamBuffers="4" StreamBufferSize="131072" started a new game under a new profile and the game ran fine for the first few minutes.

It will work if I create a new profile using the modified main_settings.cfg and patch. But it will only work that one time, If I decide to stop playing and exit the game, next time I load my save the stuttering problem comes back.
