They cant fix that. Amnesia engine is broken. Nothing more could be done with the old engine. The more you put in the old engine becomes more unstable.

Of course they will. They want to sell their product. Btw, how's the champagne, frictional?
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, i love the game. The story, atmosphere and level of detail is great so far.

Same problem here. 10 months fairly new high-end computer (GTX 660 Ti, i7-3770, 8 GB RAM, Win 8), but it still stutters when a script runs. Although Jens' tips about MaxChannels and StreamBuffers did help some, so that's good at least.
And everything else with the computer is fine. Updated drivers, no other stuff running in the background, no antivirus, defragmented hard-drive...

Yeah I have the stuttering as well, doesn't matter if I'm playing all maxed out or everything turned off. It did get a whole lot better though after exiting the mansion at the start of the game.

Nowadays patches are out 1 day after the game is released just to keep costumers satisfied (for example recent Outlast and their promblem with intro for some players). I know that new Amnesia is not developed but original devs but by The Chinese Room but still, rly - "Close browser and other programs in the background, You may not meet minimal reqs or if You do u can still have problems even on the lowest settings but thanks for buying our game!"
I know that is rude to write this kind of things but don't treat Us costumers like a bunch of idiots, its capitalism- we pay, we have our reqs also.

Yeah, it did get a little better after the mansion. And I'm pretty sure it's as many has said because of the streaming of stuff that's not preloaded. But it's strange, since my hard-drive is pretty fresh, with lots of space and no problems... | |

I think this is a way to reduce the framerate glitches:First off, defragment your hard drive. this one helps with the glitches as a sound is about to play.
 Lower your settings, especially SSAO.
I also made my game a lower resolution than my screen because the frames always seem to be a bit buggy at native resolution.
I updated my graphics drivers too.

Hey guys I fixed the issue on my computer by setting the priority to "real time" in the task manager.

Sorry man but the solution is not to turn down games settings to be able to play it, most of us here have high-end machine that is capable of running this game, they have to make a patch for this, i haven´t payed to play a broken game.
