Solved: 10 Years, 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago RE: Stuttering, Small freezes and framerate Issues

I registered on here just to say that I am also having the same problem and want it to get fixed, the game pauses for like a second every time something is going to happen and sometimes just randomly.

it really kills the immersion of the game I hope it is patched soon cause right now I don't even want to keep playing the game with it doing this.

im running an intel i7 2600 3.4ghz, ati 7970 3gb, 8 gb of ram and windows 7 64-bit.

i never had this problem with the first amnesia game so don't know why its happening with this game.

ive tried changing the sound settings through the main file like it suggested on here and also turned down all my graphic settings and resolution to see if it would stop the problem, but still the game has these random pauses especially whenever something is going to happen like before the piano scene near the beginning of the game.

I also made my game a lower resolution than my screen because the frames always seem to be a bit buggy at native resolution.
I updated my graphics drivers too.

Sorry man but the solution is not to turn down games settings to be able to play it, most of us here have high-end machine that is capable of running this game, they have to make a patch for this, i haven´t payed to play a broken game.

I second this - this is bull crap. And stop with the TDD and AMFP optimization comparisons already. Yeah we all get it, most of us here have triple digit IQs - the games are different in the amount of resources they use. But for God's sake - I MAXED TDD on a 9800GTX in 2011 - now I'm running a 660Ti on a game that looks ALMOST identical, and I stutter every minute or so from 60fps down to 30?? That's just buggy coding.

DEVS STOP DENYING IT'S THE GAME. It's clear enough that most people here have the capability to run MUCH better looking games, at a steady frame-rate.

NO ONE IS GOING TO SHELL OUT $600 FOR A 760TI+ CARD FOR AMNESIA. SORT IT OUT MATES

Solved: 10 Years, 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago RE: Stuttering, Small freezes and framerate Issues

I went through the thread and compiled a list of the users posting and summary of the configurations of those that posted. I would love to say sure we can patch this, but there is no easy patch for this. Because if it were a sole issue with the game, then ALOT more people would post about this on the forum. The game has been a top seller on Steam alone for two weeks, there are a lot of people playing the game. So should this be a problem with people having these configurations (which after compiling it to a list is a very common set of hardware) the forum should not be working at the moment due to the load of complaints.

That said. This is of course not good for you and not good for us. Does not help you at all.

So here is the list, it also contains a tip that one user posted, but no one replied to. So to begin perhaps all can try that tip and see if it makes a difference?

Stutter/freeze
Shawn6 - Radeon 5870, i3, 4GB
Xik464 - Radeon 7800-series, amd x4, 8GB
Manu270891 - GTX 670, i7, 8 GB
DasBieBo - 560TI, amd x4, 8GB
Doomed316 - 620GT, amd X2, 4 GB
darkely - ???
alus992 - ???
CalinTM - 680, i7, 16GB
Damascus Rose - ???
Petch1984 - 660M, i5, 8GB (?)
vowels - Radeon 6850, ?,?
Sakonosolo - GTX 670, i5, 8GB
Mr. Plankton - 670, i5, 8GB
Stangi - 660, i7, 8GB
Najtub - ???
Rattlehead - Radeon 7950, i5, 8GB
Phobius187 - Radeon 7970, i7, 8GB

osakaran - posted tip "Hey guys I fixed the issue on my computer by setting the priority to "real time" in the task manager." Can all above try this?

Slowdown (not related directly to the above)
SpaceJesus 55 - 660Tu, amd 8350, 16GB (Also posted solution. Don't use high SSAO or high value on samples, keep it low as the visual difference is minimal but performance requierments of high settings is very high).
plutomaniac - 660TI, i7, ?. Can try above solution.

To set priority go to the task manager while AAMFP is running go to task manager, find aamfp.exe in processes tab, then right click and select realtime from the 'set priority' menu. I'm not sure if there is a way to have it save the priority of if it needs set every time.

Jens U need to know that not everyone knows about this forum. I was searching even torrent sites to find solution, maybe some cfg file from some users that don't have same problems etc and many of them just whine on these type of sites because they don't have original game - I have, so i post here my problems.

i3 2,3GHz, with 4gb RAM and 1GB graphic nvidia
