Since my friend hasn't got internet after downloading the game, I will tell him there is a patch.

And yes, Vertical Synchronization can fix tearing, like it helped me in Overture.

Yes I know what vSync does. However, vSync is not the same as Adaptive vSync. By disabling Adaptive vSync you can still have vSync.

Okay, the V-sync problem is solved, but... If I play with v-sync it feels kind of laggy, but I think my hardware should manage it easily. (graphic is all maxed out)

If maxed out means SSAO high and samples 32 then those should be lowered for starters to medium and max 16. It is a minimal improvement having them maxed out and very demanding.

Oh... now it is running perfectly smooth, thank you very much. Smile I thought my system would be powerfull enough to run it maxed out.

You have a 680 and still? Crazy stuff. Well, my 660 Ti can run 60fps constantly with 32 samples and Medium quality SSAO. Everything else to the maximum possible.

@ Jens: Maybe the vsync stutter I described here was indeed fixed by the first patch and the lagging is because of these sound issues that you are currently fixing. So I'm ok with vsync. Just a small question though: If I want to enable Adaptive vSync, how do it do it without the tearing appearing again?

Yeah I can see the framedrops. Acording to fraps my fps are around 30fps with 32 samples and high quality ssao. When I get a 1-2 fps drop I already recognize them and it feels "laggy". With 16 samples and medium ssao my fps now lay between 56-60fps.
I will later play a little bit with the setting to see how it will run with different settings regarding ssao and the samples.
