Digging this up because I'm currently having a hilarious first world problem:

Steam Holiday Sale is coming up in a few days. Can't decide if it's adequate to put "just" $20 in my Steam Wallet, or if I should go get $50 to play the long game to be "super safe". $50 will save more money in the long run if I end up spending all of it.

(There's no middle ground. It's going to be either $20, or $50 because I am adding funds through 3rd party purchased gift cards which seem to only come in those two prices)

I usually go with the attitude that "buy the better one", despite it being more expensive.
No regrets later because I got good product.

In other words, put all in.
