Gender

Here you can discuss all things related to gender, an intentionally broad topic which can encompass many different issues.

Please keep it rational, keep the insults to yourselves and if you can't conduct the debate in a personable manner your posts will be deleted. Flaming and provocation, whether direct or not-so-subtly encoded in passive-aggressive turns of phrase, will be ruthlessly searched for and removed.

RE: Gender

As an answer to the feminism debate in the "Admit One" thread: (I'm a male)

Not all men are a**holes. There is a diverse selection, of course: In a 1 KM radius, you'll surely find a man that just can't keep his shit tight, a man who is kind, a man who shares stuff, a man who defends woman, a man that could assault you sexually, etc. The same happens with woman: In fact, I have usually worse experiences with women that with man, usually. Of course, I go well and I even joke and that stuff with women, but I keep away from some females. There also females that just can't keep their shit tight, a woman who is kind, a woman who shares his stuff, a woman who defends man/woman, a woman that could steal you or kill you, etc.

Humanity is diverse. Saying that ALL MEN are as**oles is incorrect.

RE: Gender

I think that Feminists are overreacting with guys. I mean just because one guy is a douche doesn't mean the rest is a douche too.

I think that the goal of feminism is great since women's rights aren't given much thought (particularly in the Middle East), but they kinda, well, make it a bit overreacting.

RE: Gender

i'll just copy and paste what i said in that thread.. with something added:

okay sorry but i cant hold this back anymore. It's true that women got
majorly discriminated in the past and they still do sometimes, but
definetly not to the point that there should be a revolution or
something. Imo they get equally discriminated as men get. There ARE
cases where women are accepted somewhere because they're women, while
the man gets rejected. I'm not talking out of nothing, for example, my
friend took a part time job to work as a waiter at a restuarant. Then
some girl appeared and they kicked him out and took the girl
because..well...She was a girl. Simple as that. There's also cases where
females do something wrong and they're all forgiven all of a sudden
because they are women. Then there's also the unwritten rules "Don't hit
women" or "Don't talk like that, she's a girl". And as someone that
that competes regulary i can confirm that girls are often judged much
more softly, heck sometimes the "win" is literally just handed to them
because of it.

As bold and rude as i sound, females should pick their side already.
Sometimes they play the "Ohh i'm so soft and powerless, i'm just a
woman! Ohh i'm a girl i'm too weak to do that...Oh i'm a girl i cant
work that hard!" While at other cases they go in a frenzied state of
femi nazi and scream out "WE ARE EQUAL AS MEN, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE,
WE ARE JUST AS CAPABLE!" Pick one for gods sake.

Forgot to add, about the competitions and them being judged not equally
as men are. Tell you what, I know quite a number of female breakdancers
that would smoke the hell out of me or any other guy. Why? Because she
practises just as hard as us or even more. While I KNOW that there are
girls that go "I can't practise 4 hours a day! I'm just a girl!"

This goes to feminists or women. If you're looking to find a "solution" to your "discrimination" i suggest you turn your eyes towards women and NOT men. Why? Because the only reason stuff like what Abraxas mentioned in her last post (being grabbed, called a cat and stuff) happens is because a lot of females literally ask for it. I dont know why, i don't understand why but apparently lots of women (from what i've seen) actually enjoy being treated the way they are and enjoy it when their male is acting like a dominant alpha. Girls started wearing cat costumes for mostly 1 reason, the sexiness factor or cuteness.

So in short:

Stop pointing fingers at males, because most of the females bring THEMSELVES down and their own sex.

RE: Gender

I don't get wars...
Can't we just be friends?
If it's a thing that annoys you only, and nobody else, keep it to yourself.
If it's a huge problem, try to resolve it in a proper manner.

This goes for both genders!

This is from a male though, and I don't know how it is to be a woman Smile
I'd gladly change some stuff if it made at least one woman a little more happy.

I don't see the big deal.

If there's something I'd like to be changed, I'd say: "Hey, could you help me change this?", and then they would say "Yes, I'll take a look at it", and I'd be happy, or they'd say "No, I'm sorry, we can't do anything about it", and then I'd try to live with it.

There is also another side here. The one who is being asked to change stuff must be honest and smart.
We should not fight for power. We should help those without it.

Trying is the first step to success.
