heres my custom story idea

heyllo

so i've started a new custom story and im just gonna include a brief synopsis. please tell me what to improve and stuff.

so here ya go

Addington is a small, isolated village. it has become essentially forgotten due to the immense forest that separates the village from any other cultures. in 1812 it had grown to a population of almost 100. over time the castle on the foothill above the village represented a landmark for the village. the family who live there was not very open to conversation with citizens of the village. 1813 has finally come and now Addington has become entirely forgotten. the inevitable had struck and now Addington has fell. when the news of the destruction was first announced fear towards the city became apparent. there was a certain evil that caused its downfall. time passed and as always, the village was forgotten. time had muffled the terror. the blood of the past was disguised.

i know right now it sounds sorta cliche but i assure you that it is fairly original. theres much more to it that i cant say cuz it will sortof spoil it. ive started developing it recently so it will be a few months before i release it. please comment on this. if u want more details just tell me.

I think it will be an awesome CS! If you add some voice acting and custom models i would love to play it! Add good music and atmosphere to the map and it's going to be awesome!

alrighty. well i know this doesnt really have any information but alot of it will spoiler some parts. i havnt gotten far because i really need to learn how to script. so on an unrelated note i would love to hear some references to tutorials on scripting because it would really help. thanks!

Well I'm not a good scripter, but I learnt how to make basic functions with the Scripting Tutorials on this page
http://wiki.frictionalgames.com/hpl2/tutorials/start and with the Engine Scripts page [url]http://wiki.frictionalgames.com/hpl2/amn..._functions[/url] . Also, I asked for help whenever I had precise issues so that people (flawless hair take a cookie pls) explain me how to do stuff.

And once you can use callbacks, variables and timers there's not much you shouldn't be able to do.
