Hi,

I bought the game on Steam several months ago and when I launch the game from the launcher, I have a white (yes... not black) screen and I have to kill the process manually (no error message). I tried to use the minimal settings but nothing changed.

My hpl.log is really short so I hope you will be able to help me Wink

Version 1.20

Initializing Graphics Module

Setting video mode: 1280 x 800 - 32 bpp

And that's all !

The weird thing is that I downloaded and installed a pirated version of the game after that and it works perfectly fine, even with the highest settings ! So I'm totally lost now :'(

My drivers are up to date.
Specs : Windows 7 64 , Radeon HD 7870, intel i5 2500k

If you need the hpl.log from the pirated version i will be glad to post it, if it can help you.

That's a very weird issue oO

Thanks for reading !

edit : i forgot to mention that I deleted the game in the Steam folder and the Documents Folder... nothing changed.

Firstly, don't go around mentioning you have a pirated version, even after purchasing ATDD. Although legal, piracy is not something we do allow.

Secondly; welcome to the forums.

Did you try verifying your files through Steam? I believe it's called "Check file Integrity" or something similar.
If this doesn't work, someone better than me will help :p

Thanks for replying !

I know that owning a pirated version is not allowed but I had to download and install it to be sure the problem is not relative to the game itself. Also, i don't consider myself as a criminal because i own a legal copy of the game but don't worry, i get what you said Wink

Yes, i tried the Check File Integrity thing and my files are OK... I tried uninstalling/reinstalling , suppressing the game in the Steam folder (and the one in My Documents) but I still have the issue...

Anyway, thanks again for caring about my problem. Smile

ps: sorry if my english sucks !

Do a clean reinstallation of your AMD drivers just to make sure nothing is corrupted there.

Ok, I just used the AMD Clean Uninstall Utility and reinstalled the drivers and.. it works... I didn't think the problem would come from my drivers...

I feel sorry for wasting your time with such a simple issue. :'(

A great thanks to you Plutomaniac, now I'm able to play and shit in my pants ha ha !!
