That's good. It's not that I expect people to have a problem, it's just that there are opposing views on the topic. I'm happy to discuss it, but in order to avoid causing a lot more drama in the public domain, it would be spoken to me in PM.

Besides, I like hearing opinions on the topic of same sex.

In one way I could see how some people were against gay marriage, simply because marriage is a Christian thing, and the Bible is obviously very against it. I think to those people, they'd rather not call it marriage, but allow it all the same.

But now in today's culture, marriage has very little to do with Christianity anymore. It's almost embarrasing that this wasn't legal before now.. in America that is.

Traditionally, marriage is the method of declaration to bind two people together under the eyes of their religious deity or codes. Yet, since god knows how long (no pun intended), such vows have been violated constantly.

The main reasoning behind marriage however is just that. For two people to declare love for one another.

However there can be a ton of legal stuff behind it too. Marrying for asylum or immigration laws, government benefits, unexpected surprises (pregnancy), forced circumstances (arranged marriages, shotgun weddings), etc.

There's always a reason to get married, but it's not necessarily for traditional values, nor is it always in regard to the person's feelings.

Even the people who just registered (barring spambots) are rational people. The FNAF fans/bronies on this forum actually listen to your opinion while those people over at Tumbler call you all sorts of things and quite frankly just throw sh*t at the screen.

It kind of makes me happy that we have a rational community! You may think that's an essential but if you look at other social media sites this is practically heaven on earth.

Being here over two years and you find that we have blemishes of drama which becomes quite hysterical and creates a bit of opposition, but in the end, most, if not all of us, are here to help or simply discuss various topics (some of the "off-topic" threads of rather differing context to gaming for example). Creating, developing, structuring and completing projects are tough, and there are times when you just need that extra bit of assistance or criticism - that's where we come in.

The thing I guess about tumblr is people have interests, motivations and in some cases, the anonymity to put down others. Similarily with 4chan. Here, we have a moderating team to put people back into line if they're not at an acceptable standard. If you have multiple people willing to help, and people to filter out those who don't, then you have a great community, and has been a pleasure with everyone thus far.

People may still put you down, but as the internet says:
