So this morning on my way home from work, I find that the traffic lights on the two intersections by my street are out, with cops directing traffic. On top of this, the electricity at home is also out. Naturally I assumed some terrible accident had taken place.

Not so. I woke up and find out from the evening news that a squirrel had chewed through some electrical wires.

The acronym CHARGE was coined in 1981 to describe a cluster of features identified in a number of children. The following are the signs that were originally identified in children with this syndrome, but these features alone are no longer used in official diagnosis.

C - Coloboma of the eye, central nervous system anomalies-I don't know what that is but i don't have it
H - Heart defects-Never had it
A - Atresia of the choanae
R - Retardation of growth and/or development-Never had it
G - Genital and/or urinary defects (Hypogonadism)-Never had it
E - Ear anomalies and/or deafness-I have deafness, i can't hear with my right ear
The most common genital condition associated with CHARGE syndrome in boys is undescended testicles, or cryptorchidism. Another commonly associated genital condition in boys is hypospadias.

Deafness is commonly seen in CHARGE syndrome. Aside from deafness, the most common ear anomaly seen in CHARGE syndrome is the abnormal appearance of bowl-shaped and concave ears, known as "lop ears".

i have a Cleft lip and palate(As you can see at my real life photo). Living and suffering like this sucks. I bet others also hate living like this. I hate to look retarded. I am happy i am not mental handicapped/disabled.

About the cleft palate, my niece had one when she was born and had it removed, and more recently my nephews have them too and are getting them removed. Is it too late for you to have yours removed?
