Well... yea actually in history we have a bad teacher :/
But in English.. the subject is just boring, and of course I should know that slavery is bad, but I don't feel like knowing about the whole african american history should be part of what I need to learn

Nah. Even information you know is important and even interesting can be difficult to get through if presented in a dry, clinical manner. I'm really interested in my media production class, but the book has typos (most recently noted in the proofing section, ironically) and throws industry jargon in without defining it.
