That's strange.. they should be the same.. the only changes in the MAS version is some extra handling of the save directory so it would be compliant w/ Apple's sandboxing. Otherwise I used the same data files as what I packaged for the FG/humble store build and Steam.

That save file must be made with a latter version of the game or something and thus crashes my Humble Bundle version. Either way, I played until the church and got past that part when you spot a pig running while descending some stairs. I even chased it, no crashes occurred.

By the way, the humble bundle version for MAC seems to be the first one so it stuttered horribly even at low graphics. But that's another issue regarding audio.

Actually that's before the part - shortly after that, the pig isn't just a scripted drive-by. It's when he becomes interactive that it crashes. Thank you guys for continuing to look at this.

I tested both Steam & Humble Bundle versions of the game. Here is a video with proof that it doesn't crash using the Steam version:

I do not have a MAC App Store copy to test if that one crashes though.

Are you talking about the same specific issue (Mac App Store version - crash at the church level) or something else?

EDIT: Never mind, you seem to be the same guy as the previous Guest post. Merged.

After the crash occurs at the church level, attach HPL.log file found at Library/Application Support/Frictional Games/Amnesia/Pig/

I can't get access to that folder through the 'Go' function on the MAC. Where is that folder?

Doesn't seem to be any files associated with amfp other than the actual game

It's a hidden folder. Try:

~/Library/Application Support/Frictional Games/Amnesia/Pig/

OR

Hold down the Alt (Option) key when using the Go menu. The user library folder is listed below the current user's home directory.

Ok, think I'm in.

Just crashed it and froze my computer. It's not in the church, but in the piston room. So far it's whenever I have to interact with the pig.

Does this have anything abnormal?

EDIT - crap, think that was my Dark Descent log. Let me have another look.

Can't find it. Under Frictional games there is no folder called pig. Just local resources and main

Oh yeah right, the Mac App Store version is sanboxed so the file should be located at:

~/Library/Containers/com.frictionalgames.AMFPLauncher/Data/Library/Application Support/Frictional Games/Amnesia/Pig/

I found the exact path from the first page where someone mentioned it.
