But all in seriousness, I think the amnesia games are a perfect length for what they are.

machine for pigs was made by chineseroom not by frictional games so thats why it didnt have that much stuff in it that you thought it would hav like the original amnesia game

This is what we do in Soma, only it is 666 levels you have to grind. BUT! Then it goes into a death match mode, which is very intense and gory so it makes it all feel quite fresh. Then you'll proceed to the next level and it repeats with a little twist. The game is very long, but we also added ingame purchases, so you can actually level up that way and then the game only takes about 4 hours to complete. Win for everyone! Mostly for us though.

I don't think Frictional Guys will decide to make another Amnesia game, it's like with Penumbra. Philip's story has come to end, just like Daniel's and Oswald's. I would personally think they are going to make not - horror game.
Then either they'd cost too much for what they're worth or they cost too much for a little increase in reward. Not worth it in the end for whoever is making the game given their most likely objectives.
Today I dreamt the life I could live forever. You only know that when you feel it for you know not what you like until you've experienced it.
