Wrong Disc Error after Installing Patch

I have Penumbra: Black Plague and I downloaded and installed the Patch 1.0.1. on the frictionalgames website. However, ever since I installed the patch, I cannot run the game because I get an error that states:

Wrong Disc Inserted. Please insert the original "PDX2707EU" CD/DVD.

Can anyone help me fix this problem?

You don't need the patch, as it is only intended for the very first release of Black Plague. If you get that error your game is already at 1.0.1.
