Solved: 8 Years, 8 Months, 1 Week ago Tech Support (couldn't find appropriate sub thread)

Hey guys, just got the game today, very excited to play!

However, I'm having a problem that makes it unplayable right now. Everytime I move the mouse on the screen, the whole game lags so hard it can't be played. This happens even at the menu screen.
Please help, I'm really wanting to dive into this

My specs:
i7 3770k overclocked to 4500
AMD Radeon HD 7970 3gb
16gb G.Skill Ripjaw RAM
2 vh238h Asus monitors
Asus P8Z77-v LK motherboard

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I tried to find the appropriate one but got confused @_@

Send us your settings. Make sure SSAO is way down.

Do you mean the settings in game, a log file amnesia compiles or the settings in my catalyst software?

Thank you for replying to help me!

So I attached my settings in catalyst and Amnesia below. Let me know what I can do to fix this problem Sad

SSAO is in advanced video settings.

I changed the settings to as shown in the attachment. The game works like a gem now!! Thanks so much! Are these the best SSAO settings?

Really thanks so much!!

So I'll be streaming Amnesia in just a few hours on my live stream, but I'm still getting a slight hang when I move the mouse. Any last suggestions?

SSAO kills performance without giving much back in terms of quality, at least for the higher options. Try to kick the graphics to the lowest and see if you still stutter. If so, it's surely another issue, which I suspect.

Yea, I kicked the graphics to bare minimum. Still stuttering. But I was able to fix it by turning my mouse report rating down by 3ms so anyone with this future issue can have it fixed!!
