Things that most be in SOMA in my opinion

1. Search & Danger music while enemy is near.
2. Chase music.
3. Health kit (even though it seems the enemies can kill you in one shot..).
4. Flashlight would be nice.

I'm excited to see what tricks they pull out to change it up. From penumbra to amnesia they made much better changes to atmosphere, horror, gameplay etc. and redefined the horror genre. From amnesia to soma there's going to be much more improvement because they have such a larger budget. Already they've spoken about different effects for each monster which should be awesome. I'm hoping for some scarier/more intense monsters and chases than what was shown in the trailer, because even though the monster was creepy af it didn't seem as 'intense' as amnesia's monster encounters. but of course there will be! why would they show the scariest scenes in the trailer? its only an hour into the game anyway.

but yeah, im not gonna think too much about it lest i somehow end up disappointing myself for the release. i'll let those geniuses surprise me

I dont really think the music has to be exactly when you are being chased or searched for. It just needs to be proper music( and not the glorified ambience we got in AAMFP), deployed at effective times. I certainly hope they will be more flexible than Search and Danger so it does not get used as an indicator of enemy presence.

1. More accessible modding (eg: easier to edit voices of enemies ect.)
2. Improved scripting
3. Being able to have multiple choice in a situation (should I hit it with a brick, hide, run from it?)
