It's not about the PS4 compatibility. But the problem is when PS4 (or other consoles) becomes the lead platform so that the PC version gets neglected. This often ended in bad console graphics, console gameplay and could mean bugs because of less time and priority or porting of the PC version. Console development automatically means less resources for the PC version.
I'm always annoyed when a game looks and feels like I would play on X-Box.

Amnesia sold well above their expectations. Consoles are not a goldmine. They are weak, restricted and uncomfortable. Bad graphics, bad controller gameplay, no file access, no mods, no graphic tweaks, bad update support and no compatibility to other (future) systems.
PC is the most powerful and only true gaming platform. Apart from DRM.
