I wonder if the corrupted portions of the case file are telling us something:

I don't think there is something meaningful hidden there. If you bitwise AND corrupt-2 with corrupt-4 you can read "CORRUPTED DATA". Didn't find anything else however..

Pretty sure this is SCP related since Regalis is a HUGE fan of Amnesia and maybe Penumbra since he used the effect of Penumbra camera ''shake'' effect like in the vent. When descending trough the vent of Black plague in the beginning the camera will ''shake'' a little and teleport you back. Same effect is used in the SCP v0.8.1 hall where you go trough it and starts to shake a little and instead of teleporting you back it teleports you to the opposite direction making you confused a little.

I'm almost definitely sure that it's not. Regalis is just a dev of a small indie game, he probably doesn't have any contact with Frictional Games, all they were to him were inspiration. Also, I think the teleporting thing in v0.8 is just a bug.

Also, a commercial SCP project would probably never work, even though it's under creative commons share alike, the authors on the Foundation wiki probably wouldn't be so happy about someone making profit off their work.
