Fair enough, just getting a bit twitchy after TCR abandoned the PC ship for 'Everybody's Gone To The Rapture' .....

Well, Amnesia was very popular after all. But if Amnesia was very low budget, and for this game they have a big one ..

The set appears to be CGI ..... notice how the actresses' foot goes through the bottom of the door opening when she goes out of and comes into the room. The closing door is obviously CGI.

They consider Amnesia "rushed and a bit shallow" despite it's popularity too. Since this game is not "rushed and shallow", it should be very, very good.
And after reading that essay on storytelling and immersion, I have no doubt that it will be.

Okay, so, who was on the screen? I re-watched it twice and there is no way to say it was the same girl. Judging by the hair it looks like a man (she is red).

Exactly.

Amnesia - low budget, rushed

Soma - high budget, planned, carefully made and so on

We're in for mental trauma or something

So the "machine" is sort of like a crystal ball capable of seeing into the future, or possibly altering it?
