Omnitool, huh? I wonder what all you can do with it.
Really starting to remind me of Bioshock!

I'd like to permanently sew you into a life-size bear costume and keep you in my house so that I can wrestle with you when I feel sad.

I wonder if this tool is a permanent part of your inventory, perhaps assigned to a hotkey (seeing as how there's no traditional inventory screen).

The current main menu looks gorgeous. I think I remember Thomas saying that the final menu will be a 3D/dynamic one, but this one looks pretty bad-ass already. In fact, the original one looked bad-ass too.

Ah, didn't mean to associate the omnitool itself with Bioshock, rather the concept art and the overall environment and setting.
Though Bioshock did have its share of hacking and stuff, maybe you can do something similar with the tool?

I think they did a good job with the 3D backgrounds in TDD and AMFP. The same concept worked well in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Life is Strange, for example. I imagine a nice underwater view for SOMA, with a fish swimming by now and then..

Haha that would be pretty cool actually. Maybe FG could code it in such a way that your mouse cursor causes the little fishies to swim away

No. That would just spoil that the environment takes place under the ocean. I think that should stay a surprise for everyone who don't know what SOMA is. I'm sure the player doesn't begin his journey under water, rather you will get there on later parts. Which should be an atmospheric surprise at all.
